Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will face a trial after a Utah judge denied her request to dismiss a lawsuit related to a 2016 ski crash. The crash involved Paltrow colliding with a man on a ski slope at a Utah resort, causing him serious injuries. The lawsuit was filed by the man who was injured in the crash, Terry Sanderson, who claims that Paltrow was skiing too fast and out of control.

Paltrow’s lawyers argued that the actress was not at fault and that Sanderson was actually to blame for the crash. However, the judge disagreed, stating that a reasonable jury could find that Paltrow’s conduct “constituted unreasonable behaviour”. The judge also denied Paltrow’s request to award her attorney’s fees.

The trial is set to take place in January 2024. Paltrow, who has won an Academy Award for her role in “Shakespeare in Love”, is also the founder of the lifestyle company Goop. She has been involved in a number of legal disputes related to the company’s products and marketing claims.
