Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that ever since Congress has pledged to provide legal guarantee to MSP, BJP’s propaganda machinery has spread a barrage of lies on MSP and on social media only handles favoring farmers, laborers and tribals are being published. The accounts are being blocked by the government.And the BJP government says it wants to talk to the farmers?

The Central Government is saying that it is not possible to provide legal guarantee of MSP in the budget of the Government of India.Whereas the truth is that according to CRISIL, there would be an additional burden of ₹ 21,000 crore on the government in giving MSP to the farmers in 2022-23, which is only 0.4% of the total budget.In a country where bank loans worth Rs 14 lakh crore have been waived off and corporate tax exemption of Rs 1.8 lakh crore has been given, why is even a little expenditure on farmers an eyesore?With the guarantee of MSP, investment in agriculture will increase, demand will increase in rural India and farmers will also get confidence in growing different types of crops, which is a guarantee of the country’s prosperity.Those who are spreading confusion on MSP are insulting Dr. Swaminathan and his dreams.With the guarantee of MSP, Indian farmers will not be a burden on the budget but will become the drivers of GDP growth.The injustice being done to farmers will end soon. The Congress Party is committed to implementing the guarantee of MSP given by the Congress as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. Along with this, we will also take other necessary steps including loan waiver to provide the farmers the right to justice.
